GOOOOLD!
2/23/2014Well Sochi 2014 has been fun, though not quite as fun as the Vancouver 2010 Olympics - it was a blast having them in town! But I gotta say I am so proud of Canada for taking home the gold in both Women's hockey AND men's hockey because I mean, those are the two medals that count the most, right? Haha.
Gotta say though the USA women's played a great game, but our comeback was heart shattering for USA. The devastation in their eyes was painful to watch, but I mean, my loyalty is with Canada! I totally thought USA was gonna be taking the gold medal away from us but we've taken it home 16 years running! 4 years in a row, baby!
As for the men's game. First off, it was at 4am so I recorded it and as I was near the end of watching the first period, my dad comes in and gives me the fricken final score! AFTER I told him not to tell me who won. I specifically stayed off all forms of internet for a reason! Let me tell you: NEVER give me spoilers - especially if I specifically told you I don't want to know. That is one sure way to make me rage. Seriously, I was so mad that I could feel tears coming on. That's a sure-tell sign that my anger is almost at its top.
Also, even though I love the Sedins and Edler (when they're playing for the Canucks that is), I was happy to see Sweden go downn! They played a good game and winning a silver must have been awesome for them either way. I mean, they hadn't made it to the gold medal game since 1992 so good job, boys!
Anyways, can't wait to see both teams play again in South Korea in 2018! Back to the NHL for now~
