February Favourites 2014

3/05/2014

Hey guys,

It's time for February favourites! I usually don't post favourites just because I don't have enough products worth talking about or I just use the same products as the month before, but I actually have so new(ish) products that I gravitated towards last month. You'll also notice that I took the time to take the pictures on my actual camera and not my phone (yay, quality!). Please excuse the dust from my vanity. I should really dust my room... Anyways, here are my top 5:

I have been LOVING the L'Oreal Lash Out Butterfly mascara. Not only is it waterproof, but my favourite part is the wand. I'm pretty OCD about my lashes being perfectly separated and I feel like the wand really helps me do so. It's a weird curve shape, but on one side it has almost like a comb so it allows me to create that separation.

I got these UD 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils over the holidays when they had this wicked set of like, 6 eyeliners for a really good deal. I have been using these a little more the past month and I quite like them. I like using them when I'm in a rush and don't have time to whip out my liquid liner. They're quite nice. I don't know how I feel about tightlining with them though. I find it transfers.. Maybe it'd be better if I set it. I haven't tried that yet though.

As for liquid liners... This may well be my new favourite. It has a felt tip and it's amazing! It's easy to apply and stays on all day. What I like is that you can shake it so that helps the product come out. Nothing I hate more than the tip drying out (the #1 why I never use eyeliner pens), but this one doesn't do that! Once this mini one runs out, I might just have to go out and buy the full size!

And then there's UD's Naked3. I think that alone says enough. But I have been playing with the colours a bit more this month. Particularly the darker shades to the right. I swap between this palette and my UD Original Naked palette. I just like knowing I can rely on it the colours staying on all day (if I use a primer that is). I've become super comfortable with my Naked palette and know what looks I like/can do with it, so I've been experimenting more with this one and getting a feel for it. It's been fun.

I ran out of my Simple moisturizer in January so I started using the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel and I quite like it. I thought at first that my skin wasn't liking it, but I think it was actually due to something else that I had been using. I tend to have dry patches around my nose 'cos I'm constantly rubbing my nose (it's always itchy) or blowing my nose because of allergies so this has definitely helped keep it moisturized and not getting flakey. I also had this dry patch on the side of my forehead that it helped restore so that's great. Glad to have found a moisturizer that doesn't break my out. Woohoo!

So were some of my favourites last month. What were some of yours? :)
